9:00 AM: Arrival on property and setup
12:00 PM: Vendors arrive and décor comes together
3:30 PM: Guests arrive and gather
4:00 PM: Outdoor ceremony
5:00 PM: Cocktails, photos, & time around the grounds
6:30 PM: Dinner under the tent followed by toasts
7:30 PM: Dancing and evening celebration
9:30 PM: Late-night snacks or fireside gathering

9 Mile Schoolhouse is tucked into Montana’s beautiful Nine Mile Valley in Huson, just outside Missoula. We’re 18 miles from Missoula Montana Airport, close enough for an easy trip in while still feeling wonderfully tucked away in the mountains.

We can host celebrations of up to 150 guests, with options ranging from intimate elopements and micro weddings to full-size celebrations and wedding weekends.

Absolutely! Up to 24 guests can stay here on property, with accommodations ranging from our charming cottages and quirky campers to dry camping in The Playground. It’s an easy way to turn your celebration into a whole weekend together.

Very. We love pets! If your celebration wouldn't feel complete without your four-legged fren, bring them along. From walking down the aisle to hanging around the Schoolhouse for the weekend, they're welcome to be part of the story.

Absolutely. Our Storybook MicroWedding is designed for intimate celebrations of up to 20 guests, and we welcome even smaller elopements for couples who want to keep things especially simple and personal.

Yes! You’re welcome to bring your own alcohol, giving you the freedom to serve what you and your guests actually enjoy. Any required serving, licensing, or insurance requirements will need to be followed.

Yes! Smaller celebrations can take advantage of street-side parking, while larger events require shuttle transportation. Ask us about shuttle service and hay rides!

Yes! Restrooms in our lodging accommodations are available for guests to use. For celebrations with more than 50 guests, we require an additional portable restroom to keep everyone comfortable and the festivities flowing smoothly.

The Schoolhouse has outdoor fire areas that are wonderful for evening gatherings, when local fire restrictions and conditions allow.

Yes. We require event insurance for weddings and private celebrations at 9 Mile Schoolhouse. It’s typically simple and affordable to obtain, and we’ll provide the coverage requirements you’ll need when it’s time to purchase your policy

A little Montana weather won’t stop the celebration! We have event tents available to rent, or you can bring your own. Our Carriage Houses also offer indoor space as a backup.
