Living a Storybook Life

The Spirit of This Place

Built in the early 1900s, the 9 Mile Schoolhouse once rang with the laughter of children and the sound of the bell calling them to class. Today, it rings again — this time for celebrations, family gatherings, and seasonal festivities that bring people together in warmth and wonder.

From the glow of winter lights to summer evenings under the pines, the schoolhouse stands as a reminder that simple moments — shared meals, music, laughter — are what make life truly magical.

  • "The teacherage, cabins, and entire property is a wonderful place to stay, especially catering to a large group! We had 13 family members, plus a one-year old celebrating a 1st bday! We had everything we needed and plenty of space to gather and spend sweet time together. The ability to be outside and play cornhole and soccer was so much fun!!! We also loved the swings and axe throwing. It was a pleasure meeting both Batman and Cowboy (the resident doggies) and we enjoyed their presence dearly!"
