A Little Holiday Magic Is Taking Shape at the Schoolhouse

Fall-ing in love with every season at this old Schoolhouse

Setting the table in preparation for the upcoming holiday fan-fare

Treasured friends,

How is it already time to start talking about Christmas?! I feel like we were just pouring wine under the summer skies, and suddenly the leaves have fallen, Halloween costumes are being folded up and stored, and I'm finding myself dreaming about twinkle lights, evergreen branches, ribbons, and all the little things that make this season feel magical. If I’m being honest (really, vulnerably honest) I did put up a Christmas tree on the 27th of October… no judgement, please.

However, it does mean that the Schoolhouse is beginning its transformation for the holidays, and I couldn't be more excited to share what's coming!

But first, a glance back…

We had such fun bringing some sweet autumn whimsy to the Schoolhouse with Hallo-Wine & Hitchcock and our Lil Pumpkin Tea Party. From spooky cinema and themed treats to adorable kiddos in costumes dancing like no one was watching, and so many more unforgettable moments, these gatherings were a wonderful reminder of why I love creating experiences here. Every event has its own personality, and every gathering brings a few more memories to this old place.

Thank you to everyone who came out, celebrated with us, and helped make these events truly special. I love seeing the Schoolhouse filled with laughter, familiar faces, and new friends. That really is my heart’s delight.

And now? We're turning the page to Christmas!

Friday, November 13 | 6:00–8:00 PM
9 Mile Schoolhouse | Huson, Montana

Before the shopping lists, the wrapping paper, the holiday rush, and the endless to-do lists take over, I'd love for you to join us for something simple and special.

We're hosting an Old-Fashioned Tree Lighting & Caroling, and I hope you'll come.

We'll gather outdoors beneath the big Montana sky, light our Christmas tree, sing carols together by candle light, enjoy good company, and announce the charitable cause we've chosen to honor this holiday season.

This is one of the things I'm most excited about this year. I deeply desire the Schoolhouse to be a place where we don't just celebrate the holidays, but remember what they're really about: generosity, connection, kindness, and caring for the people around us.

Tied together in love wrapped up in joy!

Volunteering often ends in unexpected adventure.. Let’s just say we have fun

We'll have food and drinks available for purchase, so come hungry, bring your family, invite a friend and neighbor, and stay awhile. Whether you know everyone already or are hoping to meet a few new friends, you are welcome here.

And the best part? Admission is FREE!

No ticket required. Just come ready to enjoy a serious overdose of pre-Christmas cheer. We’ll welcome the holiday season with all we’ve got together and save that space of quiet before the full flurry of chaos begins to just be shoulder to shoulder under the shiny lights.

Friday, November 13, from 6–8 PM at the 9 Mile Schoolhouse.

This is an outdoor event, so bundle up, bring your warmest coat, and maybe an extra layer for good measure. Our beloved Nine Mile Montana evenings have a way of reminding us who's in charge!

Behind the Scenes: Christmas Is Coming to the Schoolhouse

Of course, the tree lighting is just the beginning.

We're already dreaming, planning, decorating, and preparing for the Enchanted Christmas Village. There are trees to dress, spaces to transform, details to dream up, and approximately a million little things that somehow have to come together to create that feeling of stepping into an old-fashioned Christmas story.

Schoolhouse Mascots on duty. The Christmas Cheer squad

I love this part almost as much as the events themselves! All of it, the anticipation, the creative hurricane, the hunt for just the right decorations, the calls for community involvement, and watching an idea slowly become something real.

The Enchanted Christmas Village will return on Saturday, December 5, and Saturday, December 12, with Santa, crafts, caroling, holiday treats, and festive activities for the whole family. Both dates offer the incredibly unique Hallmark-holiday experience, so you can choose the day that works best for you. Or you can do what I would, and come to both! We welcome volunteers

There is so much more to come, and I'll be sharing more of the details as the Schoolhouse gets dressed for the season.

Let's Make Room for a Little Wonder

I know how busy this time of year can become. There's always something else to do, something else to buy, and somewhere else we're supposed to be.

That's why I hope you'll join us on November 13.

Come take a breath, hug a friend, feel the spark of joy and the sting of warm happy tears as we come together and make a difference while treasuring the true gift of the holiday season, LOVE. Sing a Christmas carol and watch the big tree light up alongside neighbors who care. Let's enjoy a warm drink, a cozy fire, hot dog in hand, and spend an evening remembering that some of the best holiday moments don't need to be elaborate or expensive. Sometimes, they're simply about showing up and being together.

This season, while packed with prep and polish, is also our Murder Mystery and Holiday Party high season! If you are interested in booking a get together or an off-season retreat, overnight stay, or even private meal to celebrate with your crew, please reach out soon! We are filling up and would be overjoyed to host you to help foster and create a precious moment in time just for you.

I'm so grateful for this little corner of Montana, for the people who make it special, and for every opportunity to bring our community together.

I can't wait to see you under the tree!

With love and a little Christmas sparkle,

Jessie

if you’re looking for us, we’ll more than likely be in the “Closet O’Christmas”

P.S. Mark your calendars now: November 13 for our free tree lighting, and December 5 or 12 for the Enchanted Christmas Village. And (drum roll) our especially festive and fancy event, Festive Feast Dec. 12th 6:30pm. Let's make this a season to remember!
